Genome-wide analysis and functional characterization of the DELLA gene family associated with stress tolerance in B. napus

Abstract Background Brassica napus is an essential crop for oil and livestock feed. Eventually, this crop's economic interest at the most risk due to anthropogenic climate change. DELLA proteins constitute a significant repressor of plant growth facilitate survival under constant stress conditions. lack DNA binding domain but can interact with various transcription factors or regulators different hormonal families. Significant progress has been made on Arabidopsis cereal plants. However, no comprehensive study regarding delineated in rapeseed. Results In our study, we have identified 10 BnaDELLA genes. All genes are closely related five AtDELLA genes, suggesting relative function structure. Gene duplication synteny relationship among Brassica. , Arabidopsis. thaliana rapa oleracea nigra genomes were also predicted provide valuable insights into gene family evolutionary characteristics. Chromosomal mapping revealed uneven distribution eight chromosomes, site-specific selection assessment proposes purifying selection. The motifs composition all inconsistent; however, every contains 12 highly conserved motifs, encoding GRAS domains. two known miRNAs (bna-miR6029 bna-miR603) targets BnaC07RGA BnaA09GAI, predicted. Additionally, cis -acting element prediction shows that contain light, stress, hormone-responsive elements their promoters. ontology (GO) enrichment report indicated might regulate responses. Combine transcriptomic data used detected distinct biotic abiotic stresses. Conclusion investigate evolution feature, genomic structure, targets, pattern B. which enrich understanding suggests modulating individual promising way intensify rapeseed tolerance harvest index.
